Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from a contract concluded with us within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded — for example, the day you complete the purchase of a credit bundle.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us — Marinos Ventures, owner: Paulina Marinos, Murmelweg 14, 33729 Bielefeld, Germany, email: legal@marinos-ventures.com — of your decision to withdraw from the contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from a contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event not later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

Early expiry for digital content

Kimaboo books are digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium. For such contracts, the right of withdrawal expires when we have begun performance of the contract, provided that you have (1) expressly consented to us beginning before the end of the withdrawal period, (2) confirmed your knowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins, and (3) received a confirmation of the contract from us.

In practice: when you unlock a book — a personalised book, a "Made by kimaboo" book, or a book unlocked with a credit — a notice directly above the button states exactly this; by clicking the button you give this consent, and generation or delivery starts immediately. From that moment on, the withdrawal right for that book no longer exists. You receive the contract confirmation, including a record of your consent, by email.

Credit bundles

When you buy a credit bundle, the statutory fourteen-day right of withdrawal applies to the credit purchase. If you have already redeemed credits within the withdrawal period (each redemption requires the express consent described above), we deduct the pro-rata share of the purchase price for the redeemed credits and refund the remainder.
